Our Story

Bonnie and her husband smiling through a stone arch in Grand Marais

Our love for Grand Marais began the way many great stories do — on the snowmobile trail. Years of riding sleds and traveling throughout the Upper Peninsula brought us to this special place, and from the moment we arrived, it felt like home. In 2016, we found our place: The Coyote's Den. The natural beauty, the peaceful moments, and the sense of adventure kept calling us back season after season.

Over time, Grand Marais became more than just a destination — it became our second home. Whether it's late nights in the garage laughing, sharing stories, and making memories with family and friends, beach fires below the northern lights, or slowing down to enjoy the simple moments together, this place has always been about connection.

When summer arrives, our love for the area only grows. Days on the lake, soaking up the sun, and exploring Lake Superior remind us why we love the Upper Peninsula. No matter the season, Grand Marais is where memories are made and traditions are built.

We're so excited to share the place that means so much to us — and we hope it becomes part of your story, too.
